From the first crushing riff to the final breakdown, Wage War was a relentless showcase of power, precision, and pure metalcore fury.
Wage War unleashes unrelenting energy at the Fox Theater Pomona, displaying an intense mastery of the metalcore genre. From the opening song, the band immediately declared control of the crowd, unleashing heavy riffs and punishing breakdowns. Each scream and riff rang clear, while the lighting added to the high-octane atmosphere that filled the venue.
Briton Bond's vocals stood out, shifting between screams and melodies effortlessly. While Cody Quistad's clean vocals provided the contrast for the band's balance of heaviness and melody. Drummer Stephen Kluesener's driving beats marched the band through the set while guitarists Seth Blake and Quistad delivered crushing intricate riffs and melodies. Chris Gaylord provided the backbone with his prowess on the bass guitar.
The crowd was fully engaged throughout, moshing and chanting along to hits like "Stitch". The energy between the band and the audience was pyrokinetic, with Wage War feeding off the crowd's enthusiasm. As they closed the show with "Manic," the room was left buzzing, cementing Wage War's status as one of metalcore's best live acts.
If they are in town, please promise me to see them. This was my first time seeing them and now I feel like I got ten thousand doses of adrenaline. I'm ready to take on a bear and a moose.
