Crowjane had the audience in her firm grasp, and in one fell swoop.. every mere mortal was in a deep trance.
Post-punk group Crowjane graces the Supply and Demand stage with a dark and brooding aura. It was a kind of hypnosis that puts you in a deep spell, embraces you with that cold feeling. The kind that reminds you that you are alive.
It was a treat seeing Crowjane for the first time. I haven't seen anything quite like them yet. The whirlpool of symphonic vocals, and the hazy and gritty instruments, it was the perfect concoction for a mesmerizing performance.
It was hard not to stare. Some moments I just stood there in full awe, carefully nitpicking the musicality of the group. The blending of their voices were perfect to their sound. The drums had that steady backbeat, nothing too fancy, just what the songs needed. Synths and keyboards made up most of the eerie sound of the group. Bass had the perfect grit to it, for that rough texture. Lastly the guitar was the perfect contrast to the whole picture. This is the sound of Crowjane, eerie and hypnotic.
