Equal parts aggressive and emotional, chaotic and precise- The Devil Wears Prada is a must-see force to experience live.
As a first-time attendee of a The Devil Wears Prada show at the House of Blues Anaheim, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I’ve listened to their music before, but experiencing them live was an entirely different beast—one I wasn’t fully prepared for, but in the best way possible.
From the moment the band took the stage, the energy in the room was electric. The crowd roared in anticipation, and as soon as the first chord hit, the floor started shaking. TDWP launched straight into a heavy, fast-paced opener, and it felt like the room exploded. Mike Hranica’s vocals were raw and aggressive, cutting through the thick wall of sound created by Jeremy DePoyster’s clean vocals and the blistering guitars.
As someone who wasn’t familiar with all the songs, I was surprised by how easily the band’s energy pulled me in. Even without knowing every lyric, it was impossible not to get caught up in the atmosphere. Their blend of melodic elements with heavy breakdowns created a dynamic that kept everyone on their toes. I found myself headbanging and completely in awe of the musicianship on display.
The crowd interaction was another highlight. TDWP fed off the energy of the room, with Hranica regularly engaging with the audience. There was a real sense of camaraderie between the band and their fans, and as a first-timer, I immediately felt welcomed into that world. The Devil Wears Prada certainly really tore the roof down at House of Blues Anaheim
By the end of the set, I was exhausted in the best way. Equal parts aggressive and emotional, chaotic and precise- The Devil Wears Prada is a must-see force to experience live.. For anyone who’s never seen them live, I can confidently say they’re a must. It’s not just about the music—it’s the connection between the band, the crowd, and the energy that makes the whole experience unforgettable.
