Stratejacket warms up the Chain Reaction Anaheim stage with relentless punk energy in support of Winona Fighter.

Bay Area-based StrateJacket brought proper catchy and fast punk energy to Chain Reaction Anaheim. Spearheaded by Jackson Roemers, the band served hot tracks like "Bad Start" and my personal favorite, "Dreamcatcher".
As soon as the band stepped on stage, the energy was explosive. So explosive that even Jackson's guitar strings couldn't take it as it snapped mid-song. They had to employ Winona Fighter's Fender Jaguar to continue the rest of the set. Even with that mishap, they still plowed through with finesse and professionalism. Imagine going to a battle with an axe you are unfamiliar with. The unfortunate event did not faze Jackson and continued with his musical onslaught.
Their sound hit hard and fast- drums unrelentless, guitar was sharp, that perfect balance of passion and aggression. Drummer Nate Mongold and bassist Fabian Angel were tight as a punk band should. Each thumping and rumbling like a freight train, an unstoppable force. The sound was engaging with everyone headbanging to every note.
As the band reached their end of the set, everyone clapped and each hungry and eager for more as they went on to see the rest of the show. Openers in my opinion have an important part of the show as they set the tone of the show. StrateJacket did this perfectly and I am not going to be surprised seeing them headline a tour of their own too.
Keep an eye out for StrateJacket, they are a force to be reckoned with. Catch them on their next show, buy their tracks and merch. They deserve your attention and for sure will leave a mark and a spot on your playlist.
