Electro-pop rock PVRIS kicks off North American Summer Tour at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California. Joining them are Pale Waves and Sizzy Rocket.
Opening up the Saturday night concert with alluring sounds, Sizzy Rocket hypes up the crowd with her performance. Whipping her hair, and undeniable strength of a voice, she embraces the stage as if it was her temple. Hypnotic performance indeed.
Next up was the quartet from Manchester, Pale Waves. The Observatory stage was likened to a pillow of clouds as the group weaved through the haze and light. Heather Baron-Gracie's non-chalant vibe was the perfect contrast to the alternative rock alchemy created by Hugo Silvani (guitars), Ciara Doran (drums), and Charlie Wood (bass).
Lastly, emerging from the dark, PVRIS set the stage ablaze as they played on point and super tight. For a 3-piece band, they sounded really full. It was both a music and light show. This is my first time hearing about them and they did not disappoint.
PVRIS is composed of Lynn Gunn (vocals), Denny Agosto (drums), and Brian Macdonald (bass, keyboards).
