Better believe it's Shabang Season...San Luis Obispo's annual gathering of the finest grooves around comes back to the Central Coast for a 2-day fest at Dairy Creek Golf Course May 5th-6th.
Originally started in 2014 as a renegade DIY festival at Cuesta Ridge, CA, Shabang has evolved over the years, uplifting the local music/arts scene along with its steady rise in popularity/size. Going strong for the last 7 years at Laguna Lake, Shabang has fostered a welcoming community driven by community participation and social responsibility. Volunteers can assist in event production, media, and almost anything in between. They really provide the resources and opportunities to build your skills and give back to the community. This year marks the 14th rendition of Shabang and it's set to be their largest-scaled event yet.
With a stacked lineup featuring artists like Bob Moses, Men I Trust, Death Valley Girls, and more, your musical palette is in for a treat. Outside of the tunes, festival goers, aka Shabangers, can enjoy a variety of immersive experiences like yoga, skate demos, the silent disco, and exploring local vendors/art installations.
